THE EARLY YEARS

A foundation in engineering.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University in 1983 and an MBA from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1985.

His early career included designing and testing aircraft systems at Pratt & Whitney, followed by business development work at Harris Corporation and Electronic Data Systems. Those experiences helped establish an analytical approach to understanding complex businesses and technology.

CAPITAL & ENTERPRISE

Building businesses. Seeing possibility.

In 1991, Michael established Kendrick Capital Management in Atlanta, focusing on private equity and venture capital. His work has involved raising capital, investing in companies, and helping businesses navigate growth.

He co-founded Roswell Capital Partners in 1994 and served as Senior Partner through 2013. Other ventures include the launch of Bridgepoint Equity Partners in 2006 and the acquisition of Family Christian Stores with partners in 2012.

In 2013, he helped found iDisciple and served as its founding CEO through 2015, connecting Christian teaching with a digital platform. His work has also included co-founding Phase Family Center in 2017, bringing preschool education, family services, and community engagement together.

Today, that background informs the family office’s approach to research, emerging technology, and the stewardship of family resources.

FAITH EXPRESSED IN SERVICE

Experience placed in service of others.

Through Providence Christian Foundation, Michael connects capital and operating experience with ministries serving churches, students, families, and communities. The Foundation’s work supports Evangelism, Discipleship & Education, and Compassion.

He helped establish Ministry Ventures in 1999, providing Christian nonprofit leaders with practical support. His ministry work has also included Blueprint for Life and Kingdom Capital Group, with an emphasis on purposeful living and thoughtful giving.

Michael and Michele were among North Point’s founding families. His church leadership, board service, and stewardship responsibilities are reflected in the ministry relationships featured throughout this site.

Other current and past service extends to Christian media, local churches, family ministries, and education:

  • Christian media: The Giving Company, Family Christian Ministries, and The ReThink Group.
  • Families and churches: Lighthouse Family Retreat and Wiregrass Church.
  • Education: advisory work with Auburn University.

These relationships include both current and past involvement.

PURPOSE IN PRINT

Questions that continue beyond the workday.

Michael’s books explore how faith shapes the use of wealth, the search for fulfillment, and a life lived with intention. His earlier work includes Rich Forever (2011), The Fulfillment Factor (2012), and Your Blueprint for Life (2015), published by Thomas Nelson.

Battle of the Seed, Book One of The Seed War Trilogy, is available now in paperback, hardcover, Kindle, and Audible editions. It brings Scripture into a discussion of artificial intelligence, identity, and allegiance, with an invitation to examine both the argument and the hope at the heart of the teaching.
